Co-Occurring Care

Many individuals have a behavioral illness and a substance use disorder together, commonly called a "co-occurring disorder." At Wellvance, we offer screening and treatment to individuals suffering from substance use disorder when they present with the need for co-occurring care. Care is available to eligible residents in Iosco, Ogemaw, and Oscoda counties. We know that the presence of having two or more disorders can be challenging and our mission is to provide the best level of integrated care.

Together, we'll work on a journey to recovery with reduced or discontinued substance use, improved psychiatric functioning, decreased hospitalization, reduced medication interactions, increased housing stability, and an improved quality of life. We want to empower your wellness and advance your potential!

Life Saving Support with NARCAN®

Narcan/Naloxone is a medication approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose. It is an opioid antagonist—meaning that it binds to opioid receptors and can reverse and block the effects of other opioids, such as such as heroin, morphine, and oxycodone. Narcan is a temporary treatment, effective when administered during an overdose, but its effects are short-lived. Therefore, it’s crucial to seek medical help immediately after using Narcan.

If you're worried that you or someone you know may be at risk of an opioid overdose, Narcan is available to you. FREE Narcan kits are available at each of our office locations, including the opportunity for you to come in and exchange any expired kits. In addition, our West Branch office provides a free, full-service Narcan vending machine available for quick, confidential access in the entryway.
